She Believed She Could, So She Did

Welcome! I’m so glad to have you here!

My name is Marty McGinnis. My philosophy in life, which I learned from my father, is no limitations. When you want to succeed then do it. I started my professional life as a teacher and then decided to follow my father’s footsteps into the world of insurance using this philosophy. I’ve been successful in insurance for over 30 years and although I love it, I’ll soon be retiring. My new dream is to open a craft store specializing in mixed media.

Don’t you love the feeling of starting on a new dream? I certainly do. I saw the quote, “She believed she could, so she did!” on the internet and immediately connected with it. I have enjoyed crafts my whole life. I love creating and using different media forms. Painting, embossing, scrapbooking, card making, doll houses and miniatures – I love it all! I also like teaching new art forms and enjoy seeing what people do with the new knowledge. This is why I want to open a craft store. In essence, I believed I could, so now I am!

My craft store, Creative Callings, will open March 15, 2013. I’m extremely excited to provide crafting supplies to the North Fort Worth area. My plan is to carry products that you can’t get at the big chain stores. Is there a certain item you’d like to have but have trouble finding? I do special orders as well.

Do you want to win free door prizes? Participate in Make-n-Takes? Learn how to incorporate the latest and greatest products into your own work? Then come to our grand opening on Friday, March 15! I’ll also have a list of available classes with samples of class projects.

I can’t wait to see each of you at the store and introduce you to my daughter, Christy, who will be managing the store. Christy will be coordinating crops, classes and special orders as well as handling the day-to-day operation of the store.

So, come visit our Grand Opening on Friday, March 15. Did I mention there will be free prizes? I love prizes. Who doesn’t, right? I hope to see you soon.

Keep Crafting,
Marty
